The University’s Men’s Club Soccer team holds an incredibly special place in my heart and it has provided me with a family ever since joining the first semester of my first year. I have played soccer almost my entire life and once I graduated High School and knew I would be attending UVA. I had to come to terms with the idea that I would no longer be playing the sport that not only kept me active but taught me so much about being the person and leader I am today. Thankfully the Men’s Club Soccer team not only allowed me to continue playing the sport that I love, but it also gave me opportunity to meet other amazing and supportive friends. My teammates quickly became the people that I would turn to during difficult times and to this day I consider my current and past teammates some of the best friends I have ever had in my life. If it wasn’t for the Club team I’m not sure if my UVA experiences would have been as positive as the have been. Furthermore, this team gives me an outlet to get rid of stress whenever I am having a difficult week and it has genuinely presented me with a lot of positivity and fun memories.
